What is Radiesse?
Radiesse is a completely synthetic and bioresorbable soft tissue filler that is made of approximately 70% uniformly-shaped calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) micro particles suspended in a 30% gel carrier. The water-based gel carrier is, in turn, composed of smooth aqueous carboxymethylcellulose, glycerin and high purity water. The pyrogen-free and latex-free filler is designed and manufactured by Merz Aesthetics.
What is Restylane?
Restylane is a brand of injectable implants and skincare products that are composed of cross-linked non-animal stabilised hyaluronic acid (NASHA). The hyaluronic acid molecules are harvested via tightly regulated bacterial fermentation process; the molecules are then extracted and extensively purified before they are stabilised and cross-linked into soft tissue fillers of varying texture and strengths. Restylane is a product of Q-Med, which is a subsidiary of Galderma.
