What is Ellanse L?

Ellanse L is an injectable cosmetic implant used to restore lost volume, and smooth the appearance of the skin. It is a latex-free, bioresorbable, non-pyrogenic implant made of synthetic polycaprolactone microspheres and suspended in a carboxymethylcellulose gel carrier.

Polycaprolactone has been used for medical cosmetic products for many years, and is very well-tolerated. Compared to some fillers, this product can obtain similar results using less of the solution.

This cosmetic injectable allows for precise placement and long-lasting, beautiful results.

Ellanse L comes with 2 prefilled 1ml syringes.

What is it used for?

Ellanse L is a great treatment for patients who would like to add volume to sunken areas on the face, such as the cheeks. As well, doctors use this filler to augment the lips, such as after cleft palette surgery, and to sculpt the bridge of the nose.

Use this filler to help correct nasolabial folds, deep wrinkles and creases, skin depressions, and facial defects. You may also use this dermal filler to help correct and reduce the appearance of scars.

This cosmetic filler is suitable for men and women, over the age of 21, looking to revitalize their skin and diminish signs of aging.

How does this dermal filler work?

Ellanse L works to fill in facial skin depressions, which lifts the skin and gives a youthful appearance.

Due to the depletion of collagen over time, the skin loses its elasticity and starts to sag. The microspheres stimulate the production of natural collagen through neocollagenesis. As the body’s collagen levels are replenished, the skin starts to repair itself from within, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and lines. As polycaprolactone is a soft polymer that is completely bioresorbable, the microspheres are controlled and predictable. The microspheres encourage connective tissue growth over time.

How to inject

This filler is only intended to be used by a trained medical professional.

Discuss your patient’s medical history prior to treatment. Apply an anesthetic, if desired. Attach a 27G needle to the prefilled syringe. Disinfect the injection site. Inject at a 30° angle into the sub to deep dermis. Using the tunneling technique, carefully fill the area. Use a 1:1 correction factor to avoid overcorrection.

Following the procedure, the solution immediately increases volume to the dermis, leaving your patient’s skin smooth and healthy with a radiant glow. Recommend avoiding extreme temperatures for at least one week after the treatment.

How long does it last?

Ellanse L is a non-permanent cosmetic filler, but one of the longest lasting fillers on the market. The initial effects are usually noticeable immediately after the procedure, leaving your patient’s skin looking revitalized.

The initial results of this aesthetic filler can last up to 3 years, depending on the patient’s age and lifestyle, as well as of the treatment level that is required.

Is this product safe?

Ellanse L is a very safe dermal filler for treating wrinkles and facial folds, as well as for facial volume loss. The synthetic polycaprolactone microspheres are completely bioresorbable, and has been approved by regulatory agents for cosmetic procedures.

Ellanse L has a proven safety record, and is used by many doctors worldwide.
