Plasmolifting Incubator Mini B 100

The Plasmolifting Incubator Mini B 100 is a dry heat incubator that makes use of a heating block to provide uniform thermal heating to a container (vial, centrifuge tube, or flask). This lab instrument is specially dedicated to process PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) samples harvested according to the Plasmolifting protocol into Plasmolifting gel, a viscous gel that is used as a soft tissue augmenting agent.

This easy-to-use dry bath incubator contains many built-in safety and functional features, all in a compact and lightweight footprint. It should be used with Plasmolifting collection tubes and other Plasmolifting certified instruments.


What is it used for?

This dry bath incubator is used to generate Plasmolifting gel from PRP. Plasmolifting gel can be used in various anti-aging treatments, including correcting deep creases and wrinkles, as a mesotherapy for the treatment of dull and sallow skin, as a cheek filler for midface rejuvenation, to contour the chin or cheeks, for lip augmentation, and many more.

Plasmolifting gel can also be used to enhance the results obtained from other skin resurfacing procedures, including chemical peels, dermabrasion, microneedling or laser treatments. When used with these treatments, PRP gel can assist in the smooth recovery and promote proper healing of the skin.


How does it work?

The aging process results in unwanted effects on the skin such as loss of volume and elasticity, producing aesthetic concerns like wrinkles, sagging skin and poor skin texture and tone. PRP therapy addresses these age-related skin concerns by promoting the regeneration and healing of aged or damaged skin tissue.  PRP is a fraction of whole blood, derived from the patient, that contains a therapeutic concentration of platelets, growth factors and cytokines. These elements are involved in triggering the inflammatory cascade that is necessary for wound healing to occur.  By injecting a concentrated amount of these growth factors and signaling proteins into dermal tissue requiring generation and repair, skin rejuvenation is enabled, leading to remodeling and bio-revitalization of the treated area.

Plasmolifting gel is an extension of the Plasmolifting protocol, whereby obtained PRP is converted into a thick viscous gel that can be used to volumize dermal tissue. In this manner, the resultant gel can be used to correct aesthetic deficits stemming from facial volume loss, including deep wrinkles, thinning lips, loss of facial contours, and sunken areas (e.g. midface), in the same way as a dermal filler. In addition, the Plasmolifting gel retains its bio-revitalizing properties and helps to encourage the formation and deposition of new collagen. This acts as a support structure for facial tissue, strengthening the skin and preventing the formation of new wrinkles, hence further prolonging the aesthetic benefits seen.


How to use it?

The Plasmolifting Incubator Mini B 100 is utilized in an optional step that occurs during the latter phase of the Plasmolifting protocol, upon generation of autologous PRP. After extracting the desired PRP layer with a 2.5ml Luer-lock syringe, the PRP is incubated (in the same syringe) in the dry bath incubator using the following heating protocol:

  • Preheating stage: The thermostat is preheated for eight minutes at a temperature of 95°C to ensure the heating block is at the correct temperature for processing PRP samples.
  • Heating stage: The syringe(s) containing PRP is place on the heat block. The PRP is incubated on the heat block at 95°C in a range of three to six minutes, depending on the volume of PRP:
    • For PRP volumes of 0.5 - 0.8ml: Incubate for four minutes
    • For PRP volumes of 0.8 - 1ml: Incubate for five minutes
    • For PRP volumes of 1.0 - 1.14ml: Incubate for six to seven minutes
  • Cooling stage: After heating the PRP samples for the determined amount of time, the heating is stopped, and the sample is allowed to cool on the block to room temperature (around two minutes).


After heating, the PRP material is transformed into a milky, viscous gel that is ready for administration. PRP gel is administered with 23G needles into the desired treatment area, and is placed deeper (into the intradermal or superperiosteal planes) than normal PRP.


How long does it last?

Plasmolifting gel provides both immediate and long-term benefits. The injected gel provides not only volumizing effects that last until the gel is absorbed (around three months), but also collagen-stimulating and skin-remodeling effects that act to prolong the results (up to 18 months) in most patients. The duration of action will vary individually, depending on the patient’s skin type and application.


Is it safe?

The Plasmolifting Incubator Mini B 100 is safe for use, provided it is handled by trained laboratory and healthcare personnel. The treatment itself is also regarded as very safe due to the fact that the treatment utilizes a material derived from the patient’s own body. Therefore, it is not likely that the substance will cause reactions.

PRP therapy can be used on most patients except those with the following exclusion criteria:

  • Alcohol intoxication
  • A history of allergic reactions to anticoagulants (heparin)
  • Malignant tumors
  • Mental illness
  • Acute infectious diseases
