WHAT IS RESTYLANE SKINBOOSTERS VITAL LIGHT?
Restylane Skinboosters Vital Light is a temporary soft tissue dermal filler made from 12mg/mL of non-animal stabilised hyaluronic acid (NASHA). The resulting gel is transparent and is sterilised before being supplied in a 1mL syringe. Each box of Restylane Skinboosters Vital Light comes with 1 preloaded syringe, 3-29G½” disposable sterile needles, and an information pamphlet. The fragile packaging must be stored in a well-controlled temperature ranging between 2℃ to 25℃, away from sunlight and freezing conditions. This is a product of Q-Med AB.
WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Restylane Skinboosters Vital Light is indicated to treat younger skin affected by premature ageing such as dehydration and dullness. Superficial wrinkles can also be corrected using this aesthetic solution. After treatment, the skin’s hydration, elasticity, and tone are boosted, leaving it more radiant and healthy-looking.
HOW DOES THIS DERMAL FILLER WORK?
As of a client’s early 20s, collagen production in the skin reduces by 1% each year. This is due to intrinsic ageing, whereby usual biological processes start to diminish. So, skin damage is repaired at a slower rate than before and less new cells are synthesised. More often than not, external skin-damaging factors like excessive sunlight and pollution introduce harmful free radicals to the already-weakened skin. The cumulative effect of both intrinsic and extrinsic ageing bring about symptoms like dryness, flakiness, and fine line formation.
Restylane Skinboosters Vital Light is designed to rehydrate and restore radiance and elasticity to prematurely ageing skin. Its active constituent—non-animal stabilised hyaluronic acid (NASHA)—replenishes moisture instantaneously to dry skin.
HOW TO INJECT IT?
During the initial consultation, review your patient’s medical history. This will help you to minimise the risk of serious hypersensitive reactions. This is also the time for you to conduct a thorough facial assessment to determine the best treatment plan for your patient.
Explain the probable effects, both good and bad, that they might experience after the procedure. Aesthetic treatments are considered medical procedures and must be performed under strict aseptic techniques.
Start the session by thoroughly disinfecting the proposed area for treatment. Without applying too much pressure, gently inject the filler gel into the mid dermis layer of the targeted sites. Do not inject the filler too superficially, as it may cause undesirable discolouration. As well, do not overcorrect. After you have adequately corrected the targeted sites, discard any remaining gel and used needles. Your patients should protect the areas from extreme temperatures, like direct sunlight, to promote fast healing.
Note that these procedural steps should only be conducted by legally certified physicians specialising in aesthetic treatments. It is best to give 3 treatments spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. Refer to information pamphlet for a comprehensive directions for use.
HOW LONG DOES THIS FACIAL FILLER LAST?
Restylane Skinboosters Vital Light contains stabilised synthetic hyaluronic acid, which can provide long-lasting hydration and therapeutic benefits to ageing skin. It is proven to last for up to 6 months, after which the gel is resorbed by the surrounding tissues. Patients can get maintenance injections every 4 to 6 months. The longevity of the effects vary on an individual basis.
IS THIS PRODUCT SAFE?
Restylane Skinboosters Vital Light is made of hyaluronic acid molecules derived via biofermentation. Bacterial cultures are fermented in a hygienic laboratory setting to produce hyaluronic acid of superior quality. It is then extracted and purified under standardised manufacturing techniques to ensure little to no contaminants. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring intricate carbohydrate molecule. However, some patients are not ideal candidates for this treatment.
