What is it used for?

You may recommend ZO Blemishbright Blemish Clearing Treatment to patients who are suffering from acne breakouts as well acne scarring. This skin solution heals new blemishes and repairs post-inflammatory dark spots.

How does it work?

Acne is an inflammatory skin disorder affecting the sebum glands and hair follicles. Acne does not only make an appearance during puberty, it can even happen throughout adulthood. It occurs when the pore becomes clogged with excessive sebum and dead skin cells. New skin cells take about 27 days to emerge and shed off old layers of skin. However, when these dead skin cells are not exfoliated, they can become trapped in the pores. This condition is further exacerbated when the pores become infected with bacteria. P. acnes is a type of bacteria that exists normally on the skin surface. When the bacterium becomes trapped together with sebum and dead cells in the pores, blemishes appear. The aftermath of acne—acne scarring—is as frustrating as acne itself. When the blemish bursts, scarring occurs. Scarring also happens when your patients squeeze the blemishes. Scars are the quickest way for the body to react and repair inflamed skin. For some individuals, their scars form as holes, while others get dark spots. This blemish treating solution is blended with active ingredients to fight blemishes and lessen the appearance of acne scars.

  1. Salicylic acid (2%): This is a beta hydroxy acid and is an exceptionally good skin exfoliator. It chemically removes the uppermost layer of skin and unclogs pores. The salicylic acid in this solution is encapsulated, which ensures better and faster penetration into the skin.
  2. Arbutin, aminopropyl kojyl phosphate, glutathione, soy isoflavones: Arbutin hampers the action of melanin. Therefore, post-acne pigmentation spots are brightened. The other ingredients brighten the skin by preventing hyperpigmentation.
  3. Glucosamine, brassica oleracea italica (broccoli) extract, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil: These ingredients reduce redness by calming irritation.
  4. Mel (manuka honey) extract: Exotic manuka honey extract keeps the skin soft, hydrated and supple throughout recovery process.
  5. LiquiPatch™ Technology: This unique technology forms an instant, invisible intraepidermal patch that helps to lock in the solution and supply it for a prolonged period without drying out.

As a result, the skin appears healthier with an even skin tone.

How to use it?

Your patients should apply ZO Blemishbright Blemish Clearing Treatment solution on a cleansed and dried face. Squeeze the tube gently and apply a thin layer of the product to the blemish-prone area. Wait for the solution to dry completely. Wipe and clean the roller balls after each use for hygiene purposes and to ensure good product delivery. This solution can be used 1 to 3 times a day. However, if excessive dryness or peeling of the skin occurs, patients can scale back to once a day or every other day.
