This toner’s exclusive combination of astringents, solvents, and exfoliants helps to thoroughly cleanse and clear the patient’s skin. Additionally, ZO Balatone’s unique blend of hydrators, moisturisers, and conditioners heal and soothe treated skin, providing a new level of comfort to toning technology.

This calming toner is ideal for patients whose skin has been weakened by aesthetic treatments. It contains a proprietary blend of ingredients, which work together to remove impurities from the skin, balance pH levels, and gently exfoliate dry, irritated, and sensitive skin.

ZO Balatone contains witch hazel, an herbal extract with powerful astringent properties. With this, it tightens pores and deeply cleanses the patient’s skin, while also working to soothe the skin and reduce inflammation. This gentle product also includes a unique blend of moisturisers, including panthenol, sodium hyaluronate, sodium PCA, and allantoin. Together, these ingredients are able to condition and moisturise the face, strengthening and soothing weakened, dry skin.

Additionally, it contains alpha hydroxy acids, which adjust the skin’s pH levels. These acids also improve the penetration of aesthetic treatments into the skin.

ZO Balatone should be used twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. It should be applied to the skin after the skin has been cleansed, and before any other skincare products are used.

To use this toner, patients should dispense the product onto a cotton pad after thoroughly cleansing their skin, and before applying any other skin care products. They should dispense some of the calming toner onto a cotton pad, and gently swipe it across the face and the neck area. Please advise that the eye area should be avoided.

Once the toner has been applied to the face, patients should let the solution dry on their skin without rinsing it off. After the solution has been fully absorbed, other treatments may be applied. It is recommended that patients use this toner in tandem with other ZO Medical products.

ZO Balatone has proven to be a safe and effective product for dry, weakened skin. However, certain patients should not use this product—most notably, those who are allergic to any of its ingredients. Additionally, patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding should take care when using the toner.

Please note that this toner is appropriate for external use only. During the application process, patients should avoid the eye area. If contact with the eyes occurs, the area must be rinsed thoroughly with water.

While side effects are rare with the use of ZO Balatone, some minor side effects have been found to occur. However, these are usually very minor, and should resolve themselves within a few days of use.

If skin irritation persists, patients should stop using this toner and seek medical attention immediately. Please note that the alpha hydroxy acids in ZO Balatone may cause sun sensitivity, so patients should limit excessive exposure to the sun while using this product.

The toner also contains glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid that works to penetrate the skin and balance its pH levels. As the smallest of all alpha hydroxy acids, this colourless and odourless molecule is highly water soluble, making it perfect for use in skincare products.
