WHAT IS FILORGA BRIGHT PEEL?
Filorga Bright Peel is a medical-grade chemical peel designed for normal skin. It is manufactured by Filorga Laboratories in France and works to brighten and smooth the skin’s tone by allowing the dermis to regenerate new, younger cells. This product is intended for use by licensed professionals only, and each package contains 1-100mL bottle, a dosing tube, and a brush. This peel makes the skin look younger by brightening the skin, making dark spots and wrinkles appear less visible. By using ingredients that specifically target features in the facial skin that contribute to the appearance of ageing, this product gives patients a non-surgical, non-intrusive option for obtaining refreshed skin.
WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
This treatment is used on normal skin to correct wrinkles and hyperpigmentation, including dark spots caused by sun exposure or ageing. With ingredients like phytic acid and citric acid, the peel is able to target dark pigmentation in the skin, while gluconolactone and glycolic acid reduce signs of wrinkles and rejuvenate dull skin. After using Filorga Bright Peel, patients can look forward to smoother texture, even skin tone, and an overall radiant appearance. This product is particularly useful for individuals who suffer from hyperpigmentation or early signs of ageing. The solution can be safely applied to the face, neck, and decolletage with great results.
HOW DOES THIS PEEL WORK?
As the skin ages and is exposed to harmful elements such as the sun and other toxins, dark spots appear and the skin loses its overall radiance. Filorga Bright Peel creates brighter, more even skin by slowly peeling away the top layers of skin while simultaneously stimulating the growth of new cells. These new cells will not show the same signs of sun exposure and aging as the old cells that have been peeled. In peeling off the superficial layers of skin, this product will also exfoliate dead skin cells, leaving only new and fresh cells. This leaves the skin with a brighter, more even appearance and texture as wrinkles, dark spots, and discolouration will be less visible.
HOW TO APPLY
Filorga Bright Peel should only be applied by authorized professionals, in accordance with local legislation. This chemical peel is typically applied over 4 treatments, each administered 2 weeks apart. This treatment schedule has been determined based on clinical testing and adherence to this schedule will ensure best results. Prior to application, the patient’s skin should be prepared to balance its pH—this can be accomplished by applying a pre-peel product, such as Filorga Pre Peel, directly to the skin using a cotton pad or compress. Approximately 2.5 to 3mL of Filorga Bright Peel should be poured into the dispenser tube that is included in the package. Next, apply the solution to the skin using the brush, also included in the package, and allow it to remain for 3 minutes. A post-peel product, such as Filorga Post Peel, should be applied to the skin using a cotton pad or compress, to neutralize the peel. Finally, rinse the entire application area using a wet cotton pad or compress.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
As with all similar procedures, the duration of results will vary person to person. On average, a superficial chemical peel will last between 1 to 2 months; though adding in maintenance treatments after the initial 4 treatments can add longevity to the rejuvenated appearance of the skin. However, the duration of effects will depend on many factors, including the patient’s age, lifestyle, and the condition of the skin.
IS THIS PRODUCT SAFE?
There are mild risks associated with the use of this product, including the risk of allergy or hypersensitivity. It is important to discuss the patient’s medical history and to discuss the list of ingredients in the product to decrease the chance of such a reaction occurring. The solution should not come into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes, and it is important to advise patients to avoid sun exposure for 2 days after treatment, with the added precaution of applying an SPF 50 sunscreen to the treatment area thereafter. However, on the whole, a procedure such as this is much safer than other anti-ageing solutions, as it does not require any surgery or invasive practices, reducing the risk of infection or complications.
FILORGA BRIGHT PEEL SIDE EFFECTS
There are some intended side effects and potential mild side effects that may occur with the use of this product. As this exfoliating procedure is successful to do the removal of the superficial dermis, the patient should expect the skin to peel. Effects other than peeling that may occur are listed below.
While this product is entirely safe, there are some people who should not use Filorga Bright Peel. The manufacturer lists some contraindications, stating that this product should not be used on patients who: are pregnant or breastfeeding; have dark skin; are susceptible to hypertrophic scarring or are suffering from an autoimmune disease; have recently had skin surgery with open wounds or have had recent procedures, such as laser therapy or radiation therapy, in the treatment area; have a temporary or chronic skin issue, such as eczema, psoriasis, inflammation, infection, herpes simplex, or herpes zoster, in the treatment area; have used a drug or irritant medication, such as retinoids like isotretinoin, that affects keratinisation; or have a hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the ingredients in the peel.
