What is Revofil?

Revofil is a line of biorevitalising implants intended to rejuvenate skin affected by early signs of ageing like dullness, dryness, and sagging skin. These solutions are also great for keeping noticeable lines and wrinkles at bay.

There are three distinct aesthetic solutions in this range, which are:

  1. Revofil Aquashine Soft Filler: This solution is composed of 15mg/mL of hyaluronic acid, and a skin rejuvenating complex that contains 4 peptides, 24 amino acids, 14 vitamins, 8 minerals and coenzymes. This filler is produced as a clear gel that is packaged in a transparent 2 ml graduated syringe. Each box comes with 1 preloaded syringe, 2 patient record labels, and a package insert.
  2. Revofil Aquashine BR Soft Filler: This solution shares a similar formula to Aquashine, as it is also made of a combination of 15mg/mL of hyaluronic acid, 4 peptides, 24 amino acids, 14 vitamins, 8 minerals and coenzymes. These bioactive ingredients are formulated into a transparent gel. Each box comes with 1 prefilled syringe, 2 patient record labels, and a package insert.
  3. Revofil Aquashine BTX: This solution contains 1.5% sodium hyaluronate and a complex of 7 peptides. The resulting solution is clear and colourless, and comes in a clear 2mL graduated glass syringe. Each box comes with 1 prefilled syringe, 2 patient record labels, and a package insert.

All of the abovementioned fillers must be kept in a clean environment in temperatures ranging between 2°C to 25°C. The Revofil range of products is manufactured by Caregen.

What is it used for?

These non-surgical aesthetic fillers are indicated for correcting skin affected by minor imperfections caused by premature ageing. It involves administering bioactive ingredients like hyaluronic acid, multi-vitamins, enzymes, and amino acids intradermally to stimulate efficient skin cells functions. The areas of treatment and function of each of the fillers is as follows:

  1. Revofil Aquashine Soft Filler: This aesthetic implant is designed to fight signs of ageing, and is perfect for correcting dehydrated, and dull skin. In addition to hydrating the skin, hyaluronic acid also delivers a subtle plumping effect, which helps rid the skin of fine wrinkles. Some areas that respond well to this treatment include the face, neck, and chest.
  2. Revofil Aquashine BR Soft Filler: This implant is intended to hydrate and brighten the skin, while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Some areas that respond well to this treatment include the face, neck, and decolletage.
  3. Revofil Aquashine BTX: This filler is indicated for correcting moderate to severe facial wrinkles and creases, including nasolabial folds, and to enhance facial contours.

How does this dermal filler work?

These implants contain ingredients, including hyaluronic acid, to help moisturise dry and dull skin at a cellular level. Immediately after injection, the solution will plump up the treated skin, resulting in the subtle disappearance of fine lines. The hyaluronic acid, together with other ingredients such as amino acids, peptides, and multivitamins, boosts hydration for a radiant appearance. By stimulating these functions, a firmer framework is created, and the treated skin appears brighter, smoother, and plumper.

How to inject it?

Though it may seem like a simple procedure, mesotherapy treatment sessions must adhere to the same aseptic standards as any other medical procedure. This involves disinfecting the proposed treatment areas and assembling the medical device with great care. These injections should only be administered by a certified medical practitioner with experience in aesthetic treatments. Aquashine and Aquashine BR implants must be administered intradermally via superficial to mid dermal injections. Aquashine BTX must be implanted via mid to deep dermal injections. After adequate correction, gently massage the treated areas for optimal gel integration, and then safely dispose of any leftover filler and used needles.

How long does this filler last?

For best results, administer Revofil Aquashine and Revofil Aquashine BR in 3 sessions, with a 4-week break between each session. After the initial treatment schedule is completed, you may repeat injections twice or thrice annually depending on the patient’s skin conditions and progress. When administering Aquashine BTX, there should be a minimum time interval of 4 weeks between the first and subsequent treatment. The optimal maintenance regimen depends solely on the patient’s age, skin conditions, and lifestyle.
