LATISSE® (Bimatoprost Ophthalmic Solution 0.03%) is a prescription treatment designed to address hypotrichosis of the eyelashes, which is characterized by inadequate or insufficient eyelashes. It is approved by the FDA to promote eyelash growth, resulting in longer, thicker, and darker lashes. Bimatoprost, the active ingredient in LATISSE®, is a prostaglandin analog that works by extending the anagen (growth) phase of the hair cycle.
LATISSE® Administration Technique
Administering LATISSE® requires precision and adherence to specific guidelines to ensure efficacy and safety. The recommended application method is as follows:
Preparation:
Ensure that the face is clean and all makeup and contact lenses are removed.

Application:
Apply one drop of LATISSE® to the applicator and then draw the applicator carefully along the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes.
Do not apply LATISSE® to the lower eyelid.
Post-Application:
Blot any excess solution with a tissue to prevent it from spreading beyond the eyelid area.
Dispose of the applicator after one use and repeat the process for the other upper eyelid using a new applicator.
