Juvederm Ultra 2 is an injectible dermal filler with a biocompatible hyaluronic acid base, manufactured by Allergan. This hyaluronic-acid-based dermal fillers product is used for treating fine lines, especially those close to the skin’s surface.

The product is actually a highly cross-linked formula suitable for the correction of medium skin depressions and facial lines, and the addition of 0.3% of Lidocaine is meant to reduce any pain and discomfort during the procedure.

The product is injected into the targeted area with a small needle, as the gel consistency is smoother than other dermal fillers, making the procedure more comfortable. Since it contains Lidocaine, the procedure is practically painless.

The hyaluronic acid in Juvederm is naturally absorbed in the body, and because of its cross-linked composition it integrates inside slowly.
