What is Revanesse Pure?

Revanesse Pure is a biorevitalising injectable solution made using non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid. It is enhanced with hygroscopic properties to deeply hydrate skin that is riddled with the early signs of ageing, including dryness and dullness. It consists of 14mg/mL of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid, which is packaged in a 1mL syringe. Each box of Revanesse Pure comes with 2 prefilled syringes, 4 sterilised needles, as well as a package insert. Please store the product in its original packaging. This aesthetic solution is manufactured by Prollenium Medical Technologies, a Canadian pharmaceutical company.

What is it used for?

Revanesse Pure is a biorevitalisation implant indicated for skin hydration and superficial wrinkles. Areas that are affected by signs of ageing, such as dehydration, dullness, and fine lines will respond well to this treatment. Such areas include the face and neck.

How does this dermal filler work?

Ageing is the inescapable process that occurs when intrinsic and extrinsic ageing come together. Intrinsic ageing slows down the biological maintenance of various cells, which means that new cells are not produced as quickly. Extrinsic ageing refers to numerous external factors, such as pollution, unhealthy diet, or smoking, which introduce reactive free radicals. These reactive agents harm the already weakened cells, resulting in the exacerbation of various signs of ageing. Early signs of ageing are usually seen on the skin in the form of dryness, dullness, discolouration, and superficial lines.

Revanesse Pure is made of 14mg/mL of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid. This implant is enhanced with hygroscopic properties that hydrate and restore elasticity in skin that has been affected by the ageing process. Since the gel is monophasic, it will provide an ultra-smooth plumping effect on fine lines.  Once injected, the skin appears firmer and well-moisturised.

How to inject it?

During the initial consultation period, you should review and analyse the patient’s medical history to ensure suitability. This is also the time to discuss their skin concerns and desired treatment outcomes, and to disclose the possible effects—both intended and unintended—that they might experience following the procedures. Just like any other minimally invasive injection process, you must cleanse and sanitise the treatment area to reduce risk of infections. Assemble the medical device following the steps provided on the package insert. Once the patient and medical device is assembled, administer the implant slowly. Once you have adequately corrected the targeted areas, gently massage those sites to promote better gel integration with the facial contours. Discard any remaining gel, used needles, and syringes responsibly.

Refer to the package insert for a detailed explanation on device assembly and warnings.

How long does this filler last?

Revanesse Pure is made of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid and provides temporary yet effective revitalising effects. The gel is highly biocompatible and will be absorbed into the surrounding tissues.

Is this product safe?

Revanesse Pure consists of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid that is produced artificially through a process of bacterial fermentation. The resulting hyaluronic acid is purified before being tested for safety. Some quality control assessments are conducted to ensure a good safety profile. That being said, some patients should not receive treatment, including:

  • Instances where clients are allergic to hyaluronic acid;
  • Instances where clients are prone to developing hypertrophic scarring;
  • Instances where clients exhibit skin inflammations or infections (e.g. acne, hives, cold sore breakouts) on proposed injection areas.

Expecting and/or lactating mothers and pediatric patients should also refrain from getting Revanesse Pure injections as the solution’s safety has never been tested in these circumstances. Please refer to the package insert for a detailed explanation on contraindications.

Revanesse Pure side effects

Patients may experience some localised reactions at the injection site, such as pain, tenderness, redness, discolouration, itchiness, and swelling. However, the severity of the reactions is quite mild and should abate without interference within a day or two of treatment. In rare circumstances, some patients might exhibit serious aftereffects, including glabellar tissue death, pus formation, and allergic reaction. These more severe reactions will require swift medical attention. Please refer to the package insert for a detailed explanation of possible side effects.
