WHAT IS SAYPHA VOLUME WITH LIDOCAINE?
Saypha Volume with Lidocaine is a dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid that works to correct deep wrinkles, folds, scarring, and to add volume and contouring to the face. Manufactured by Croma-Pharma GmbH, an Austrian company that specialises in distributing aesthetic dermatology products that utilise hyaluronic acid, this gel filler is highly cross-linked, viscoelastic, and monophasic. The addition of lidocaine to the formula allows patients to receive treatment with little to no discomfort. Each package of this anti-ageing solution comes with 1 prefilled syringe containing 1mL of gel, 2-27G½” needles, and a product leaflet. The package should be stored away from sunlight in temperatures between 2℃ and 25℃.
WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
This aesthetic filler is great for treating the more advanced signs of ageing and for adding volume to areas of the face that could use additional contouring. By adding volume and moisture to deep face wrinkles and folds, the skin is evened out while regaining firmness and elasticity. In addition to treating age-related skin imperfections like nasolabial folds, perioral wrinkles, forehead furrows, and marionette lines, this filler is also used for filling cheeks and sunken temples, volumetric lifting, facial contour and nose adjustments, and lip augmentation. As the injectable gel replenishes the skin with moisture that is naturally lost over time and due to harmful environmental factors, the patient is left with a radiant, more youthful complexion.
HOW DOES THIS DERMAL FILLER WORK
As the skin ages and is exposed to harmful external factors such as sun exposure and free radicals, the naturally-occurring substances that keep the skin firm and hydrated deplete. Chief among these depleting elements is hyaluronic acid. As the skin loses its hyaluronic acid and produces it at a much slower rate, the skin becomes looser, and wrinkles and folds develop. By injecting patients with Saypha Volume with Lidocaine, you are replenishing these stores of hyaluronic acid, re-introducing moisture into the dermis and thereby helping to plump and hydrate the skin, diminishing lines and other skin imperfections. This dermal filler is particularly effective as the hyaluronic acid is created using a patented S.M.A.R.T. (Supreme Monophasic And Reticulated Technology) process. The hyaluronic acid is first developed through a process of biofermentation, and the S.M.A.R.T. process introduces the reticulating agent BDDE to produce a dense and highly cross-linked hyaluronic acid that offers natural-looking results that are long-lasting.
HOW TO INJECT
Saypha Volume with Lidocaine should only be administered by a licensed medical professional, and every treatment session should adhere to proper aseptic procedures. It is also important to discuss your patient’s medical history to ensure they are suitable for this aesthetic injection treatment. To avoid and lessen side effects like bleeding and bruising, advise patients to avoid taking any anti-inflammatory or anti-coagulant medication for a week leading up to the treatment. As lidocaine is included in the filler, there should be no other need for anaesthetics, though a topical cream may be applied if patient is worried about low pain tolerance. Prior to injection, cleanse and disinfect the injection area, and then inject the solution into the deep dermis using a 27G needle. After injection, massage the skin of the treated area to ensure even distribution. Following the injection, patients should avoid using makeup on the treated area for a minimum of 12 hours, and exposure to extreme temperatures, such as steam rooms or freezing temperatures, should be avoided for one week.
HOW LONG DOES THE INJECTION LAST?
The duration of the results will vary by patient depending on a number of factors, including the age and lifestyle of the patient, as well as the area being treated, the severity of the correction, and the injection technique used. However, the effects of treatment typically last 8 to 12 months.
IS THIS PRODUCT SAFE?
All products in the Saypha product range are manufactured with the utmost safety and quality standards in mind. Additionally, the hyaluronic acid used in this injectable filler is of non-animal origin, making it hypoallergenic and extremely biocompatible. The processed used in the manufacturing stage ensure that the gel is pure and sterilised, which not only makes it safe but also limits the risk of inflammation or other side effects. Though results are long-lasting, due to the body’s ability to breakdown hyaluronic acid, this anti-ageing solution is temporary. However, the procedure is much safer and less invasive than other more permanent anti-ageing procedures, and patients can expect a safe and minimally painful treatment session.
SAYPHA VOLUME WITH LIDOCAINE SIDE EFFECTS
There are some temporary side effects associated with the use of this dermal filler, though the majority of such reactions are mild and will resolve themselves within a few days without medical intervention.
Due to the high safety profile of the gel, any side effects will not prevent patients from returning to their daily activities directly after treatment. However, there are some patients for which treatment with Saypha Volume with Lidocaine is not suitable, and the manufacturer has listed a number of contraindications, including patients who: are under 18 years of age; are pregnant or breastfeeding; have a history of auto-immune disease or are undergoing immune therapy; tend to develop hypertrophic scarring; are hypersensitive to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine; have an injury, inflammation, or infection in the area of treatment.
COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Temporary tenderness at injection site
- Swelling, redness, or bruising at injection site
These mild side effects can be soothed by applying a cold compress or ice pack to the affected area for short amounts of time. If any of these reactions worsen or persist for longer than a week, advise patients to seek medical attention.
LESS COMMON OR RARE SIDE EFFECTS
- Hypersensitivity or allergy
- Injection-related infection
WHAT IS IT MADE OF?
Saypha Volume Lidocaine is made of clear, sterile, isotonic homogenised, monophasic, cross-linked hyaluronic acid with a concentration of 23mg/mL and 0.3% lidocaine for increased patient comfort. The hyaluronic acid is cross-linked using BDDE and contains a phosphate buffer and sodium chloride.
