WHAT IS STYLAGE M WITH LIDOCAINE?
Stylage M with Lidocaine is a cosmetic filler gel of non-animal origin. This biodegradable gel has 3 active ingredients: 20mg/g cross-linked hyaluronic acid, mannitol, and 0.3% local anaesthetic lidocaine. This medical device is processed with InterPenetrated Cross-Linked Networks, or IPN-Like Technology, to produce that smooth and elastic gel. These dermal fillers come in 2-1mL prefilled syringes, 4 disposable 30G½” syringes, an information leaflet, and a set of traceability labels. Store this medical device in a clean and cool room (2℃ and 25℃).
WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Stylage M with Lidocaine is intended to help correct medium to deep skin depressions, like marionette lines (the lines that run downwards from the corners of the mouth) and nasolabial folds (the skin fold from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth). Besides that, lip earlobe correction can also be done using this soft tissue filler. Even nose augmentation (e.g. reducing nose bumps, lifting the tip of nose) can be performed as an alternative to rhinoplasty.
HOW DOES THIS DERMAL FILLER WORK?
Skin depressions like lines and folds happen when the skin loses it once-strong network of collagen and other cells. This process is known as ageing and it can be exacerbated by external aggressors, like unprotected sun exposure, smoking, and hormonal imbalances. Even constant facial movements like squinting and frowning can intensify those skin depressions and make your patients look exhausted. Stylage M with Lidocaine helps to alleviate wrinkles and lines by providing a firm scaffold for the skin tissues to cling to. So, the skin’s structure is reinforced and skin is lifted to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. This cosmetic filler is truly an innovative medical device as it is processed via advanced IPN-Like Technology. The hyaluronic acid molecules are tightly cross-linked. The resulting gel is safer, more durable, and very elastic. Mannitol is a strong antioxidant that scavenges and destroys damaging free radicals. Good skin health is maintained and the longevity of the filler gel is improved. Lidocaine is also added to provide relief during treatment sessions. After the procedure, skin issues are erased subtly and a flawless appearance is achieved.
HOW TO INJECT STYLAGE M WITH LIDOCAINE?
This is a medical procedure, and an adequate pretreatment evaluation must be done. Discuss your patient’s medical history (e.g. existing medical disorders and medications and/or supplements taken). Just before treatment, thoroughly clean and sterilise the targeted areas. Inject the soft tissue filler gel into mid or deep dermal skin layer using the needles provided. Do not overcorrect. Gently massage the area for better gel distribution. As part of post-injection maintenance, instruct your patients to avoid makeup and extreme temperatures (e.g. cold rooms, sauna, and extended sun exposure). Only registered physicians specialising in dermal filler injection techniques should perform this procedure. Do not inject the cosmetic filler into blood vessels, or into inflamed and infected skin areas (e.g. hives, herpes, acne, open wound). If your patients have recently had other aesthetic procedures, such as dermabrasion or chemical peels, postpone Stylage M with Lidocaine injections until the skin has properly healed.
HOW LONG DOES THIS FACIAL FILLER LAST?
Though it is an absorbable filler, Stylage M with Lidocaine gel can last up to a year, after which it is broken down and absorbed by the surrounding gel. Your patients can choose to maintain the effects for an improved look every year.
IS THIS PRODUCT SAFE?
Stylage M with Lidocaine is made of hyaluronic acid, a complex sugar molecule which exists naturally in the human body. In addition, hyaluronic acid is manufactured synthetically via bacteria fermentation in a sterilised environment to ensure purity. Hence, there is very minimal risk of foreign body reactions. However, this skin filler is contraindicated in pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, children, and people who are allergic to any of the ingredients (e.g. hyaluronic acid, lidocaine, and mannitol). In addition, individuals who tend to develop raised scars should avoid this product.
