AMWC 2023: The Biggest Industry Event of the Year

Monaco was the epicenter of yet another edition of the Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC). Running over 20 years in a row, the AMWC show was held from March 30th to April 1st, and over 200 companies registered their attendance this year.

The show was an excellent opportunity to see whatā€™s considered top-of-the-line in the beauty industry. These products received ā€œBest in Showā€ awards in 10 categories:

Aside from the gala, the visitors learned more about current trends, technologies, and techniques. Over 250 professionals spoke during the various keynotes. The event was live-streamed, so even those who could not attend in person could catch a glimpse of the atmosphere and learn whatā€™s happening in the bustling world of cosmetics.

Similarly, companies were present on the show floor with their booths. Visitors tried out free samples and got to know various famous companies like Aptos, Croma, Fillmed, Filorga, and Merz Aesthetics better. Most exhibitors were manufacturers and distributors of dermal fillers and medical devices (infrared, radio frequency, body sculpting, facial machines, micro needling, hydra facial), but PRP treatment providers were also very prominent, providing an alternative to Botox and other facial fillers.

Before and after images played a big part in the marketing at the AMWC. The diversity of models – in age, gender, and ethnicity – in the marketing material is key, since the market has become incredibly diverse; hence the product branding had to follow suit. The show attracted more visitors than ever before. We can see a clear shift towards more mainstream, attractive-looking products like in the cosmetic industry.

With over 12,000 visitors in a single weekend, the AMWC 2023 was a big hit and continues to be one of the most important events in the industry.
