Intraline for Men is a synthetic, cross-linked hyaluronic acid dermal filler produced specifically for male patients who suffer from very distinct wrinkles and loss of defining facial contours. The manufacturer, Bohus Biotech AB, formulated the implant gel to be made of smooth spherical hyaluronic acid molecules via the Spherification Technology for seamless results. The gel is viscous, sterile, free from pyrogens and is supplied in a 1mL glass syringe with a strength of 20mg/mL. A box of Intraline for Men also comes with traceability labels, a product information pamphlet and 2-27G needles. Store this item in a temperature between 2℃ and 25℃ and away from sunlight and freezing temperatures.

Confirm that the filler gel is still sterilised and within its shelf life. If the product was stored in the fridge, leave it in room temperature for around 20 minutes before the treatment session. Remove any makeup on the proposed area and clean it thoroughly. Sanitise the area and apply pain relief creams if needed. Remove the protective cap on the syringe and attach a sterile needle to the syringe via the Luer lock connection. Slowly inject the gel intradermally into the dermis while pulling the needle backwards. The dosage of gel depends on the severity of the skin depressions. Massage the injected area gently so that the filler gel binds smoothly with the facial contours. Discard any leftover gel and used needles.

Aesthetic filler treatment are categorised as medical procedures and can only be conducted legally by a certified physicians specialising in dermal filler injection techniques. The entire procedure must be carried out aseptically while abiding strictly to standard intradermal injection precautions. Do not inject the hyaluronic acid into prohibited areas, such as into blood vessels or on skin that is still recovering from previous aesthetic treatments (e.g. chemical peeling). The desirable effects of Intraline injections can last up to a year, after which the filler will slowly dissolve into the surrounding skin tissues. Patients can go for maintenance sessions annually to keep up their youthful looks. However, patients should be advised that the duration of action differs across individuals.

Yes, Intraline for Men is an exceptionally safe dermal filler made from a non-animal source. Hyaluronic acid is sourced via bacterial fermentation and is highly purified to be free from disease-transmitting animal protein and endotoxins. Hyaluronic acid already exists naturally in various parts of the body as hydrating complex sugar molecules. So, patients face a minimal risk of foreign body reactions. This filler gel is still unadvised for use on some people, including:

1. Patients with hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid-based products;
2. Patients with systemic blood disorders;
3. Patients on blood-thinning agents (e.g. NSAIDs, warfarin, high doses of vitamin E supplements);
4. Patients with skin diseases/infections/inflammation (e.g. hives, cold sores, acne, open wounds);
5. Patients who have had other permanent implant(s) administered on the same area(s) of treatment.

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS:

These reactions are very common and will subside within a week. But patients who have undergone lip augmentation can experience the reactions for up to two weeks. Advise patients to follow these post-injection aftercare methods to ensure swift recovery:

• Keep the treated area without makeup for a minimum of 12 hours following injections;
• Avoid strenuous physical activities for a 48 hours after treatment;
• Protect the treated area from extreme temperatures (e.g. sunbathing, tanning beds, sauna, Turkish baths, cold rooms) for at least a week after treatment.
