WEGOVY® FLEXTOUCH® 0.5mg is a once-weekly, pre-filled injectable pen containing semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist indicated for chronic weight management. It is used during weeks 5–8 of the dose-escalation schedule and plays a critical role in patient titration to higher therapeutic levels, ultimately reaching 2.4mg.

Each pen contains:

WEGOVY® FLEXTOUCH® 0.5mg (Italian) – Indications
WEGOVY® 0.5mg is indicated as part of a chronic weight management protocol, used in combination with reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. This dose is not for long-term maintenance but is a critical step in the gradual up-titration of semaglutide.
Indicated for:

Adults with a BMI ≥30 kg/m²

Adults with BMI ≥27 kg/m² with at least one comorbidity (e.g., type 2 diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia)
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to semaglutide or excipients

Personal/family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC)

Multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2)

WEGOVY® FLEXTOUCH® 0.5mg (Italian) – Administration Technique and Storage
WEGOVY® 0.5mg is administered via subcutaneous injection once weekly. The injection can be given in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm, and should be performed on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without food.
Administration Guidelines:

No dose adjustment necessary for age, gender, race, or renal/hepatic function

Patients must complete 4 weeks of 0.25mg dosing before initiating 0.5mg

After 4 weeks at 0.5mg, patients titrate up to 1.0mg, 1.7mg, and then 2.4mg
-
Use each pen only once; discard after use even if residual solution remains
Storage Instructions:

Unopened pens: Store in refrigerator at 2°C–8°C

After removal from the fridge: may be stored at up to 30°C for up to 6 weeks

Do not freeze; discard if accidentally frozen
