WHAT IS RESTYLANE 1ML WITH LIDOCAINE?
Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine is a transparent and sterile gel manufactured by Q-Med AB. This unique hyaluronic acid dermal filler contains Q-Med’s NASHA Technology, which features non-animal, stabilised hyaluronic acid. Generated using the Streptococcus species of bacteria, this form of hyaluronic acid allows for increased patient tolerability and greater longevity in the skin. Additionally, it aids in the smoothing out of moderate to severe wrinkles and lines by adding fullness and volume to the skin.
This formulation also contains 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride, which helps to reduce pain in and around the injection site. Clinical studies have shown that 71.7% of patients experienced less pain during the injection process with Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine versus regular Restylane.
Each pack of Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine features 1 prefilled 1mL syringe, 2 sterile 29G½” needles, a package insert, and a patient record label. It should be protected from both freezing and sunlight, and stored at temperatures no higher than 25°C.
The Restylane family of dermal fillers is one of the most popular on the market, with use in over 15 million treatments since 1996.
WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
The collection of fillers of Restylane allows medical professionals to use the most suitable hyaluronic acid injection for each patient and their concerns. They should conduct thorough consultations to determine patient suitability and align Restylane filler indications with their medical history, skin concerns, and overall health.
RESTYLANE Indications
Each Restylane filler has a specific indication and can target various facial and body areas to improve the appearance and quality of skin. All these injectables can only be administered to individuals aged 21 and above.
- Restylane and Restylane-L: These are used for mid-to-deep injections in facial tissue to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. They are also suitable for lip injections.
- Restylane Lyft with Lidocaine: This is designed for deep injections in facial tissue to address moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, like nasolabial folds. It is also used for cheek augmentation and correcting age-related midface contour deficiencies. Additionally, it can be injected into the back of the hand to restore volume.
- Restylane Silk: This product is ideal for lip augmentation and smoothing perioral wrinkles.
- Restylane Kysse: This is specifically for enhancing lips and reducing upper perioral wrinkles.
- Restylane Refyne: This is injected mid-to-deep into facial tissue to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds.
- Restylane Defyne: This is used for mid-to-deep injections to address moderate to severe deep facial wrinkles and folds, like nasolabial folds. It is also approved for injections in the mid-to-deep dermis to enhance the chin profile in patients with mild to moderate chin retrusion.
- Restylane Contour: This is designed for cheek augmentation and addressing midface contour deficiencies.
- Restylane Eyelight: This is specifically formulated to improve infraorbital hollowing.
HOW DOES THIS DERMAL FILLER WORK?
Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine is a hyaluronic acid-based filler. When comparing Radiesse Restylane injectables, the Restylane brand provides a list of versatile dermal fillers with specific indications.
Its Mechanism of Action
Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced in the body and works to keep the skin and joints hydrated, healthy, and lubricated. As the body ages, hyaluronic acid levels are reduced, and the skin starts to lose its tone and firmness. This leads to the emergence of wrinkles, lines, and sagging skin.
Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine adds hyaluronic acid back into the skin, stimulating collagen production and skin hydration for a youthful, radiant glow.
The addition of lidocaine in Restylane also offers patients greater comfort levels, working to treat pain at and around the injection site.
HOW TO INJECT
Only licensed medical professionals with training in medical aesthetics may administer Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine injections. This will prevent complications from occurring both during and after the procedure. Note that with this filler, local anaesthesia is not required: the lidocaine contained in this formula ensures that these injections will remain comfortable and painless.
RESTYLANE Administration
To begin the injection process, determine and mark the area to be treated. Based on clinical trials, patients should not be injected with more than 6.0mL per patient per session in wrinkles and folds, and no more than 1.5mL per lip per treatment.
For best results, inject this filler slowly and with very little pressure into the dermis. Once injected, Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine replaces lost hyaluronic acid in the skin, instantly filling out lines, wrinkles, and depressions.
Do not inject Restylane into the vasculature, as this may cause vessel occlusion, embolization, infarction, or ischaemia.
Once the treatment is complete, please notify the patient that he or she should avoid exposure to severe cold and extreme heat until any inflammation has subsided.
Please note that chemical peeling and laser treatments may cause inflammation at the injection site and should, therefore, be avoided both before and after Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine injections.
LONGEVITY OF EFFECTS
The duration of treatment effects appeals to individuals wanting to undergo procedures with dermal fillers. Medical professionals must explain to patients how long Restylane fillers last and which product offers the most prolonged result.
Does RESTYLANE 1ML with Lidocaine, RESTYLANE® Kysse, RESTYLANE Lyft, RESTYLANE Eyelight, and other fillers have similar duration of effects?
- Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine: The effects of this filler treatment for facial wrinkles and folds can last up to 18 months.
- Restylane Kysse: This lip filler procedure can offer up to a year of effect.
- Restylane Lyft: Cheeks treatment with this dermal filler may last up to one year; six months for facial folds and wrinkles; and up to six months in hands.
- Restylane Eyelight: The under eye treatment effects with Restylane Eyelight can last up to 18 months.
However, this varies from patient to patient, depending on their age, lifestyle, and area of injection. At this juncture, patients should complete a follow-up treatment to maintain their results.
IS THIS PRODUCT SAFE?
While Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine has been proven safe for most patients, those with certain contraindications should not be injected with this product.
Contraindications of RESTYLANE Fillers
For instance, patients with known allergies to lidocaine, gram-positive bacterial proteins, and hyaluronic acid should not undergo this procedure. Moreover, individuals with bleeding disorders should not use this filler. Patients on immunosuppressive therapy should also use caution when considering the use of Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine.
Also, if a patient has open rashes, cuts, cold sores or acne, the procedure should be postponed until the facial problem is solved. Restylane is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as individuals under the age of 18.
RESTYLANE SIDE EFFECTS
Most patients react quite well to Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine. Its US Food and Drug Administration approval ensures its safety and efficacy in delivering optimal filler outcomes. However, minor side effects may occur at the injection site. These should resolve themselves within a week of treatment.

WHAT IS IT MADE OF?
As the skin ages, natural levels of hyaluronic acid decrease, causing wrinkles, fine lines, and dehydration to occur. However, this lost hyaluronic acid may be replaced through the use of dermal fillers, like Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine. With this, the skin’s moisture is restored, giving it a smoother, fuller look.
RESTYLANE Products Composition
Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine is made with hyaluronic acid, a natural compound in the skin and joints. Hyaluronic acid is incredibly absorbent, with an innate ability to retain up to 1,000 times its weight in water molecules. With this, it adds cushioning, hydration, and volume to the dermis, helping to maintain proper skin health.
Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine also contains lidocaine, a local anaesthetic used for additional patient comfort. By numbing the facial tissue, these injectable dermal fillers prevent patients from feeling the pinches and pricks associated with the injection process.
