WHAT IS RESTYLANE 1ML WITH LIDOCAINE?
Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine is a transparent and sterile gel manufactured by Q-Med AB. This unique hyaluronic acid dermal filler contains Q-Med’s NASHA Technology, which features non-animal, stabilised hyaluronic acid. Generated using the Streptococcus species of bacteria, this form of hyaluronic acid allows for increased patient tolerability and greater longevity in the skin. Additionally, it aids in the smoothing out of moderate to severe wrinkles and lines by adding fullness and volume to the skin.
This formulation also contains 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride, which helps to reduce pain in and around the injection site. Clinical studies have shown that 71.7% of patients experienced less pain during the injection process with Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine versus regular Restylane.
Each pack of Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine features 1 prefilled 1mL syringe, 2 sterile 29G½” needles, a package insert, and a patient record label. It should be protected from both freezing and sunlight, and stored at temperatures no higher than 25°C.
The Restylane family of dermal fillers is one of the most popular on the market, with use in over 15 million treatments since 1996.
WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine is designed to reduce facial folds, including the nasolabial folds, melomental folds, frown lines, and crow’s feet. It may also be used to fill in orbital troughs around the eyes, fill in facial hollows, and plump the lips.
HOW DOES THIS DERMAL FILLER WORK?
Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine is a hyaluronic acid-based filler. Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced in the body, working to keep the skin and joints hydrated, healthy, and lubricated. As the body ages, hyaluronic acid levels are reduced, and the skin starts to lose its tone and firmness. All in all, this leads to the emergence of wrinkles, lines and sagging skin. Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine adds hyaluronic acid back into the skin, stimulating the production of collagen and the hydration of skin for a youthful, radiant glow.
The addition of lidocaine also offers patients greater comfort levels, working to treat pain at and around the injection site.
HOW TO INJECT
Only licensed medical professionals with training in medical aesthetics may administer Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine injections. This will prevent complications from occurring both during and after the procedure. Note that with this filler, local anaesthesia is not required: the lidocaine contained in this formula ensures that these injections will remain comfortable and painless.
To begin the injection process, determine and mark the area to be treated. Please note that based on clinical trials, patients should not be injected with more than 6.0mL per patient per session in wrinkles and folds, and no more than 1.5mL per lip per treatment.
For best results, inject this filler into the dermis slowly and with very little pressure. Once injected, Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine will replaces lost hyaluronic acid in the skin, instantly filling out lines, wrinkles, and depressions in the skin. Take care not to inject Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine into the vasculature, as this may cause occlusion of the vessels, embolization, infarction, or ischaemia.
Once the treatment is complete, please notify the patient that he or she should avoid exposure to both severe cold and extreme heat until any inflammation has subsided. What’s more, please note that chemical peeling and laser treatments may cause inflammation at the injection site, and should therefore be avoided both before and after Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine injections.
HOW LONG DOES THIS FACIAL FILLER LAST?
The effects of Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine treatments last for 6–12 months. However, this varies from patient to patient, depending on their age, lifestyle, and area of injection. At this juncture, patients should complete a follow-up treatment to maintain their results.
IS THIS PRODUCT SAFE?
While Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine has been proven safe for most patients, those with certain contraindications should not be injected with this product. For instance, patients with known allergies to lidocaine, gram-positive bacterial proteins, and hyaluronic acid should not undergo this procedure. Moreover, individuals with bleeding disorders should not use this filler. Patients on immunosuppressive therapy should also use caution when considering the use of Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine.
Also, if a patient has open rashes, cuts, cold sores or acne, the procedure should be postponed until the facial problem is solved. Restylane is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as individuals under the age of 18.

WHAT IS IT MADE OF?
Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine is made with hyaluronic acid, a natural compound found in the skin and joints. Hyaluronic acid is incredibly absorbent, with an innate ability to retain up to 1,000 times its weight in water molecules. With this, it adds cushioning, hydration, and volume to the dermis, helping to maintain proper skin health.
As the skin ages, natural levels of hyaluronic acid decrease, causing wrinkles, fine lines, and dehydration to occur. However, this lost hyaluronic acid may be replaced through the use of dermal fillers, like Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine. With this, the skin’s moisture is restored, giving it a smoother, fuller look.
Restylane 1mL with Lidocaine also contains lidocaine, a local anaesthetic used for additional patient comfort. By numbing the facial tissue, it prevents patients from feeling the pinches and pricks associated with the injection process.
