WHAT IS DESIRIAL PLUS?
A cohesive gel used to treat imperfections of the vulva, Desirial Plus is a unique and promising new treatment option for women’s gynaecological health. It is suitable for use in women of both reproductive and menopausal age who manifest signs of, or who are predisposed to, moderate to severe atrophy or hypotrophy of the labia majora.
Vaginal atrophy features the thinning, drying, and inflammation of the vaginal walls. Usually caused by a loss of estrogen in the body, this health issue may cause vaginal dryness, burning, discharge, increased urinary tract infections, incontinence, post-intercourse bleeding and discomfort, decreased vaginal lubrication, and the shortening of the vaginal canal. Conversely, labial hypotrophy leads to lipodystrophy, causing tissue and fat loss in the area. Other than treatment with Desirial Plus, only lipofilling is available for the treatment of hypotrophy. This process is comprised of the grafting of fat cells, the effects of which have been shown to reduce 40–50% in the weeks following injection.
This filler is formulated with hyaluronic acid, a compound found in the skin and mucous membranes. Because this compound is able to hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, it works wonders in volumising and revitalising aging tissues in a gentle, natural manner, making it perfect for treating sensitive areas like the face and vagina.
This product is manufactured and designed by Laboratoires Vivacy, a France-based anti-aging medicine and aesthetic expert. Since 2007, Vivacy has dealt specifically in the distribution of top-notch dermal fillers. Created by specialists in the world of injectable product technologies and biopolymers, Vivacy is an indisputable front-runner in the industry.
Each individual pack of Desirial Plus holds 1 prefilled 2mL syringe, 2 sterile½” 27G needles, and 1 sterile 18G cannula.
WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
As the female reproductive organs age, it is common for hypotrophy and atrophy of the labia majora to occur. With this, the volume of the labia is reduced, preventing them from performing their physiological function: namely, the protection of the vulvar region and vaginal introitus. This can lead to both physical and psychological discomfort, as this process also causes the labia to look thinned out and aged.
Desirial Plus is designed for use in perimenopausal, menopausal, and reproductive-aged women with severe hypotrophy or atrophy of the labia majora. Doctors use this filler to reshape the labia majora. With this, this treatment works to protect the labia minora and vulva, to reduce chafing and infection of the vagina, and to improve the organ’s aesthetic appearance.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Desirial Plus is formulated with Vivacy’s innovative IPN-Like Technology, which comprises the interpenetration of 2 cross-linked, monophasic networks of hyaluronic acid. This stabilizes the injectable solution, allowing for improved safety, tolerance, product endurance, and efficacy.
What’s more, this dermal filler contains mannitol, an antioxidant that helps to reduce the degradation of this filler. Mannitol achieves this through the scavenging of free radicals generated during the injection process, which protects the hyaluronic acid post-injection.
HOW TO INJECT DESIRIAL PLUS?
Inject Desirial Plus just under the dermis of the labia majora. Because this area is highly sensitive, practitioners may choose to offer a local anaesthetic for a more pain-free treatment.
Any practitioner using Desirial Plus must be certified to do so. Moreover, they must be specialized in reconstructive and functional gynaecology and have anatomical knowledge of the vaginal area. Experience with injection techniques is also required.
After the procedure, the patient may return to their daily activities. However, increased pressure on the affected area should be reduced for 1 to 2 weeks post-injection.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Clinical trials have shown that the effects of Desirial Plus may endure for 1 to 2 years. However, this will differ from patient to patient.
IS THIS PRODUCT SAFE?
Although Desirial Plus has undergone rigorous testing to ensure its safety, certain individuals should not be injected with this filler. These include breastfeeding or pregnant women, or those who show signs of bacterial, fungal, or viral infections (such as papilloma, herpes, or thrush), and those with clinical inflammation. Those with an allergy or hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid should abstain from treatment with Desirial Plus.
All patients must have a consultation appointment with a physician before any Desirial Plus injection.
DESIRIAL PLUS SIDE EFFECTS
Post-treatment reactions may occur with the use of Desirial Plus. Typically, these are quite minor, often clearing up within a week. However, any symptoms lasting beyond this time should be addressed by a physician.

WHAT IS MADE OF?
This injectable filler is made predominantly from hyaluronic acid. Found naturally in the body’s skin, joints, eye sockets, and tissues, this lubricating substance works to maintain elasticity and flexibility, increase levels of moisture, and preserve collagen. Today, the cosmetics market has become enamoured with hyaluronic acid: very frequently, it is used in the formulation of moisturizers, supplements, and dermal fillers. Most often, it is used in anti-ageing products, helping to refresh and revitalize the skin.
Desirial Plus’s unique formula also contains mannitol, an antioxidant that helps to reduce the effects of injection—like redness and swelling—as well as maintain the gel’s structural integrity. Mannitol is present in most plants, especially raspberries, olives, and celery.
Warning! The product is intended solely for professional use in a medical environment and under professional supervision. The product is supplied to medical professionals who specialize in aesthetic medicine (plastic surgery, facial treatments) and work under individual medical licenses as aestheticians or in dedicated clinics. Unprofessional use by individuals without a medical background may lead to severe adverse effects and health harm.
