A cohesive gel used to treat imperfections of the vulva, Desirial Plus is a unique and promising new treatment option for women’s gynaecological health. It is suitable for use in women of both reproductive and menopausal age who manifest signs of, or who are predisposed to, moderate to severe atrophy or hypotrophy of the labia majora.

Vaginal atrophy features the thinning, drying, and inflammation of the vaginal walls. Usually caused by a loss of estrogen in the body, this health issue may cause vaginal dryness, burning, discharge, increased urinary tract infections, incontinence, post-intercourse bleeding and discomfort, decreased vaginal lubrication, and the shortening of the vaginal canal. This filler is formulated with hyaluronic acid, a compound found in the skin and mucous membranes. Because this compound is able to hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, it works wonders in volumising and revitalising aging tissues in a gentle, natural manner, making it perfect for treating sensitive areas like the face and vagina.

Each individual pack of Desirial Plus holds 1 prefilled 2mL syringe, 2 sterile½” 27G needles, and 1 sterile 18G cannula.

Desirial Plus is formulated with Vivacy’s innovative IPN-Like Technology, which comprises the interpenetration of 2 cross-linked, monophasic networks of hyaluronic acid. This stabilizes the injectable solution, allowing for improved safety, tolerance, product endurance, and efficacy.

What’s more, this dermal filler contains mannitol, an antioxidant that helps to reduce the degradation of this filler. Mannitol achieves this through the scavenging of free radicals generated during the injection process, which protects the hyaluronic acid post-injection.

Inject Desirial Plus just under the dermis of the labia majora. Because this area is highly sensitive, practitioners may choose to offer a local anaesthetic for a more pain-free treatment.

Any practitioner using Desirial Plus must be certified to do so. Moreover, they must be specialized in reconstructive and functional gynaecology and have anatomical knowledge of the vaginal area. Experience with injection techniques is also required.

After the procedure, the patient may return to their daily activities. However, increased pressure on the affected area should be reduced for 1 to 2 weeks post-injection.

Clinical trials have shown that the effects of Desirial Plus may endure for 1 to 2 years. However, this will differ from patient to patient.

Although Desirial Plus has undergone rigorous testing to ensure its safety, certain individuals should not be injected with this filler. These include breastfeeding or pregnant women, or those who show signs of bacterial, fungal, or viral infections (such as papilloma, herpes, or thrush), and those with clinical inflammation. Those with an allergy or hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid should abstain from treatment with Desirial Plus.

All patients must have a consultation appointment with a physician before any Desirial Plus injection.

Post-treatment reactions may occur with the use of Desirial Plus. Typically, these are quite minor, often clearing up within a week. However, any symptoms lasting beyond this time should be addressed by a physician.
