What is Intraline Mono Threads?

Intraline Mono Threads are smooth threads made of polydioxanone (PDO). These threads are inserted into the skin as part of a thread lift, which is a non-invasive procedure used to instantly tighten the skin. These threads are manufactured by Intraline, a British company that specializes in aesthetics and produces products like dermal fillers along with its line of threads. These threads are CE-marked and, because of their safe material and lack of barbs, are safe for insertion into the skin. Intraline Mono Threads are available in foil packs of 20 (10 packs of two).

It should be noted that compared to the other types of PDO threads in Intraline’s catalogue, such as Intraline Triple Threads, Intraline Mono Threads do not provide as substantial a lift.

What are these threads used for?

Intraline Mono Threads are used to tighten and lift sagging skin. This makes it useful for combatting a number of issues related to skin sagging, including wrinkles, nasolabial folds, and smile lines or laugh lines. Once inserted into the skin, the threads immediately tighten and lift the skin and start to stimulate the production of certain substances, such as collagen, whose production only adds to Intraline Mono Threads’ immediate effects.

How do these threads work?

When inserted into the subcutaneous layer of the skin as part of a 30- to 90-minute procedure, these threads act as an integrated support network for the skin. The threads on their own tighten the skin through the structural support they provide, but, just as significantly, they stimulate the production of collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin. The collagen further tightens and lifts the skin, the hyaluronic acid binds to water and provides hydration, and the elastin provides the skin with a greater degree of elasticity. Together, the structural support provided by the threads and the increased production of collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin allow Intraline Mono Threads to not only tighten and lift skin but also generally rejuvenate its appearance and slow the aging process.

How to insert

Intraline Mono Threads should only be inserted by a medical professional that has been trained in the insertion of Intraline’s PDO threads.

How long do the effects last?

Intraline Mono Threads immediately tighten and lift the skin it has been inserted under. However, the results of Intraline Mono Threads continue to improve for six to eight months after they are inserted because they stimulate the production of collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin. Overall, the results provided by these threads can last for up to two years, but the exact duration is dependent on a number of factors, including a patient’s lifestyle and age.

Is this product safe?

Intraline Mono Threads are safe. They have been extensively tested for safety, and the PDO that these threads are made of is CE-certified. Additionally, the PDO of Intraline Mono Threads does not produce allergic reactions, skin reactions, or side effects.

What are Intraline Mono Threads made of?

Intraline Mono Threads are made of polydioxanone, which is a polymer and re-absorbable sterile thread. Polydioxanone is made through the polymerization of p-dioxanone. Polydioxanone does not cause allergic reactions, skin reactions, or side effects.
