JALUPRO® HMW

Jalupro HMW (High Molecular Weight) is a resorbable and sterile injectable solution that acts as a dermal biorevitaliser. It may be used as a treatment for skin depressions, as well as any defects caused by scarring.

Manufactured by Professional Derma SA, this solution supports temporary volume substitution and the restoration of elasticity by promoting soft tissue growth. Additionally, it may be used as a tissue lubricant to minimise wrinkles and fine lines, or as an adjuvant in other chemical or physical treatments (including dermabrasion, laser treatments or peeling).

Jalupro HMW may be used for the correction of mild to moderate skin imperfections, and is especially indicated for the decolletage and neck areas. It is made of hyaluronic acid in the form of sodium hyaluronate, as well as amino acids like glycine, L-leucine, L-proline, and L-lysine HCL.

Each package of Jalupro HMW comes with 1 disposable1.5ml glass syringe, which contains 20mg of sodium hyaluronate, as well as 1-1ml glass bottle, which contains 80mg of a sterile amino acid solution. Needles must be obtained separately, and may be chosen based on the practitioner’s preference and technique.

This injectable filler works to correct wrinkles and facial folds, while also revitalising and rehydrating your patient’s ageing skin. You may inject this solution into your patient’s face, neck, decolletage, hands, underarms, inner thighs, knee region, and abdomen.

Jalupro HMW is suitable for patients with dehydrated, dry, ageing, and damaged skin, working to revitalise and rehydrate this organ.

Jalupro HMW has been specifically formulated with an intelligent mix of amino acids. The filler is a dermal biorevitaliser, working to correct deep skin depressions created by scarring and the ageing process.

The filler works to feed the connective tissues located beneath the skin, which are known as fibroblasts. These fibroblasts are the main collagen-producing component of the skin, and are the powerhouses behind skin’s texture and elasticity. As a result of the ageing process—or environmental damage or lifestyle choices—the activity of these fibroblasts is reduced, leaving the skin wrinkled and saggy. The amino acids in this solution force the fibroblasts to become active, providing patients with younger looking skin—with no surgery required.

Only certified practitioners who are trained in aesthetic medicine should administer Jalupro HMW. This will ensure the avoidance of any unwanted complications both during and after the injection.

With Jalupro HMW, physicians may choose the method of injection at their discretion. Grid-shaped, fan-shaped, linear, and mixed techniques have proven effective for this injectable solution. To improve patient comfort, a local anaesthetic may also be administered. For reducing post-injection burning, 0.5-1ml of 2% procaine may be used.

To administer Jalupro HMW, insert the needle along the wrinkle, release the product, and then gradually retract the needle from the skin. After injection, administer a light massage to ensure that the gel is spread properly along the surrounding tissues.

After treatment, patients may see a reduction in deep lines and wrinkles. Please note that this filler may be combined with other dermal fillers in order to enhance and extend its effects.

Immediately after injection, Jalupro HMW’s hyaluronic acid begins to retain water, adding volume to the skin and hydrating it. This will reduce the appearance of skin depressions and wrinkles, as well as add moisture to dry, flaky skin. Moreover, its amino acids encourage the fibroblasts to start producing collagen, building up the skin’s thickness, elasticity and strength over time.

The results of Jalupro HMW injections last up to 6 months for most patients, depending on their age and lifestyle.

Jalupro HMW has proven to be a safe procedure for most patients. However, some individuals should not undergo treatment with this dermal filler due to existing contraindications. If your patient suffers from any kind of bleeding disorder, or has a hypersensitivity to sodium hyaluronate or any other components of this product, you should not perform this procedure. Also, this filler should not be injected into areas of the patient’s skin with any kind of skin irritations or silicone implants.

Please note that this injectable solution has not been tested on women who are breastfeeding or pregnant.

Some minor side effects may occur when using this injectable filler. That being said, they are usually very mild in nature, and should resolve within a week on their own.

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS:

• Bruising
• Swelling
• Redness
• Itching

Less common side effects are very rare when using Jalupro HMW, although some have been indicated.

• Infection
