How Long Does Radiesse Filler last?

What is Radiesse?

It is a brand of bioresorbable, latex-free, and pyrogen-free soft tissue implant that is designed and produced by Merz Aesthetics. Compared to other dermal filler ranges that are made of hyaluronic acid, Radiesse fillers are unique as they are composed of approximately 70% of synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. The gel carrier is, in turn, comprised of smooth aqueous carboxymethylcellulose, glycerin, and high purity water. Radiesse can be purchased with or without lidocaine as a 0.8mL prefilled syringe or a 1.5mL prefilled syringe.

The fillers are differentiated by the quantity of filler material in the syringe and the presence of lidocaine. Each box of Radiesse comes 1 preloaded syringe, 2 sterile and disposable needles, and a medical device manual.

What are the indications for treatment using Radiesse?

Once injected, the CaHA microspheres will instantly plump the depressed skin while enhancing the production of natural collagen fibres. Over time, the gel and the CaHA microspheres will be metabolised into the surrounding tissues while the treated skin remains plump and smooth.
