WHAT IS JUVEDERM VOLBELLA WITH LIDOCAINE?
Juvederm Volbella with Lidocaine is a bioresorbable, transparent, hyaluronic acid dermal fillers manufactured by Allergan. The cross-linked hyaluronic acid molecules are processed using Vycross Technology to produce a malleable yet cohesive implant. This hyaluronic acid gel has a hyaluronic acid concentration of 15mg/ml, enhanced with 0.3% lidocaine for improved comfort during injection. This colorless gel comes in 1 prefilled 1ml disposable syringe, 2 single-use 30G ½” sterile needles, a set of labels for traceability, and a product manual. Store this dermal filler in a cool place (2 – 25 ℃).
WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Juvederm Volbella with Lidocaine is specifically designed to improve facial structure and volume. Use this dermal filler to treat fine lines and medium-sized skin depressions in numerous areas of the face, enhance lip volume, or correct structural lip defects.
HOW DOES JUVEDERM VOLBELLA WITH LIDOCAINE WORK?
Hyaluronic acid is a hydrating sugar molecule found in various parts of the body. The hydrophilic property enables the tissues to be continuously moisturized for optimal health and appearance. It is an indispensable component in skincare, as it maximizes collagen synthesis and the function of other cells. However, aging reduces the production of hyaluronic acid and other crucial cells needed for healthy skin. Skin loses its moisture and strength, and becomes drier—causing sagging, wrinkly skin. Juvederm Volbella with Lidocaine aims to repair these signs of aging. Developed using patented Vycross Technology, the hyaluronic acid gel is efficiently cross-linked to increase duration. The inclusion of mainly low molecular weight hyaluronic acid reduces the attraction of water from surrounding tissues and cells. So, the injected area will not swell up too noticeably. The gel can also tends to last longer in the body before being broken down. Thus, your patients can enjoy younger-looking skin and a sensuous pout for longer.
HOW TO INJECT IT?
This dermal filler is only intended for use by a licensed medical practitioner. Ensure you are aware of your patient’s medical history and of other skin treatments (e.g. dermabrasion, skin lifting) to reduce risk of adverse skin reactions. Inform your client of contraindications, side effects, and any other relevant information. Thoroughly disinfect the area before treatment. Inject Juvederm Volbella with Lidocaine into the dermis or lip mucous membrane. Treating any injured, inflamed or infected areas is not advisable. Massage the area to ensure proper distribution of the filler.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Juvederm Volbella with Lidocaine is the only injectable hyaluronic acid implant that can last up to a year with just a single treatment. This filler gel will metabolize into the surrounding tissues slowly. Instruct your patients to come in for maintenance treatments as necessary.
IS THIS PRODUCT SAFE?
Juvederm Volbella with Lidocaine is very safe, as the hyaluronic acid molecules are manufactured in a sterile environment. Despite its strong safety profile, it is still contraindicated in some people:
- Women who are pregnant or lactating
- People with known hypersensitivity to lidocaine
- People with known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid and/or gram positive bacteria
- People who are inclined to get keloid scars
