What is Surgiderm 30XP?

Surgiderm 30XP is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler made using patented cross-linking 3D Hyaluronic Acid Matrix Technology. The highly cross-linked, pyrogen-free physiological solution allows for a long-lasting effect once injected into the skin. This dermal filler comes packaged in two 0.8ml syringes, 4 single-use 27G ½” sterile needles, a product information pamphlet and two sets of labels for traceability purposes. This product is manufactured and packed in a sterile environment by Corneal Group (now part of Allergen).

What is it used for?

Surgiderm 30XP is an excellent choice for clients affected by atrophy in certain areas of the face. This product can enhance the volume of sunken areas through deep dermis injection. If your patients have thin lips and yearn for fuller lips, this product is suitable for them. The filler helps to define and augment the vermilion border (the area around the lips) giving a natural yet voluptuous pout. Severe wrinkles and lines can also be rectified using this cosmetic filler. Some of the areas that respond well to Surgiderm 30XP are as follows:

  • Nasolabial Folds: deep wrinkles from the nose to mouth.
  • Marionette Lines: lines that run downwards from the corners of the mouth.

How does this dermal filler work?

Collagen and hyaluronic acid present in the dermis give the distinctive elastic property to the skin. These two components are produced in abundance when your patient is young, playing a huge part in maintaining the firmness and plumpness of the skin.

The skin is undoubtedly a unique organ. In its prime, the skin can regenerate new cells to replace old and damaged cells. In fact, it takes approximately 27 days for new cells to emerge and shed dead skin cells. However, as your patients get older, the ability to produce the necessary nutrients diminishes. Wrinkles and lines become more prominent as the skin becomes less firm and starts to sag. This is all due to reduced hyaluronic acid and collagen production. Other factors, like too much sun exposure, dehydration and smoking, can damage the skin. This is where Surgiderm 30XP comes into play. The dermal filler helps fill the gaps within the skin and replace lost hyaluronic acid—giving the skin a smooth and plump appearance.

How to inject it

Surgiderm 30XP is only intended to be administered by a certified health-care professional with proper training in cosmetic injection techniques. Prior to this treatment you may want to apply a numbing agent to reduce discomfort for your patient. You can use specific techniques, including the serial puncture, linear threading, cross-hatching, or fanning techniques during the procedure. Immediately after, massage the area to ensure proper distribution of the filler. For the first 12 hours following procedure, advise patients to keep the treated area clean and free from makeup. Subsequently, for the next two weeks, they can minimize the risk of adverse reactions by avoiding harsh sunlight and extreme temperatures.

How long does it last?

Surgiderm 30XP injections can last up to 12 months. You and your patient can choose to set up a maintenance treatment to retain their youthful appearance. The patented 3D Hyaluronic Acid Matrix Technology gives the filler the ability to withstand degradation for a longer period of time.

Is this product safe?

Surgiderm 30XP is both safe and well-tolerated for many patients. The filler will gradually be metabolized into the surrounding tissues over time.

While it is very safe, do not use this dermal filler if your patient is hypersensitive to any of the components, pregnant or breastfeeding, or prone to raised scars.

Do not use this filler in combination with dermabrasion, chemical peels or laser treatment.
